Perhaps they should have done so before recording this disc, for there is little here to recommend it. Two cuts, Chris Hillman's Lies and Stephen Stills' Do You Remember the Americans, are of some worth, but the rest come off sounding like lame attempts at Latin-inflected blues jams with embarrassing lyrics to boot. For completists only. Track Listing. Guaguancó De Veró. Album Down the Road. Guaguancó De Veró Lyrics. By Stephen Stills & Joe Lala. Sometimes I think of the person I was I really don't know him at all he was lost Someone hurt he had to hide Inside a shell every song was a cry. Por eso ahora ya yo no vuelvo a querer. Now I am somebody else and I know It's not up to me whether I open or close Someone has come to me she reaches for me She didn't think twice when I gave her the key. Por eso ahora ya yo vuelvo a querer. It was released in 1973. The album was not very well received. Rolling Stone was especially critical, saying t would be sad to think the people involved put this record out not because of business pressures but because they were proud of it. It made it only to 26 on the Billboard album charts and its single, Isn't It About Time, made it only to 56 on. the Billboard singles charts. Track listing. City Junkies 2:50. Although 1973s Down the Road doesnt often get as much love as its 1972 predecessor, any listener would be hard-pressed to tell these recording sessions apart. The low rumbling groove of Isnt It About Time opens sounding tough, especially with Walshs snarling, distorted, electric slides. Much like the preceding Manassas Stills sounds most comfortable here when found in the middle of a percussion-heavy, Latin-tinged jam - especially on the festive Guaguanco de Vero
