The Stars of Virginia began their career in 1960, when five young men saw the opportunity to unite their talents. They were all apart of the Celestial Chorus of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. Over the years they became known as one of the outstanding groups from the Richmond area. They built a large following locally, and nation wide through their recordings. They were also included in the cast of Black Nativity.
