Big Band Christmas - Rob McConnell And The Boss Brass. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. The Christmas Song - Rob McConnell And The Boss Brass. The rich brass and reeds carry the deliberate rendition of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, which segues into a perky Latin-flavored chart of I'll Be Home for Christmas. Away in a Manger is not the commonly heard melody but one first written in 1887, though the music will likely be familiar, even if one doesn't associate it with the well-known lyrics. Rob McConnell, Dominique Rieux, Big Band Brass Hey Live. Verified Purchase. The Rob McConnell Band was together from 1968 to 2000. During that time, they recorded lots of great albums, Present Perfect, Atras da Porta, Overtime, Even Canadians Get the Blues, Don't Get Around Much Anymore, and TWO albums with Mel Torme'. Their great contribution to Big Band literature is their main arranger, Rob McConnell, who also plays valve trombone like no one I've ever heard. Rob's arrangements are always clever, technically challenging and aurally satisfying. This album features that wonderful band on some excellent holiday music. If you are a jazz lover, you will play this album several times each year. Read more
