Rust Never Sleeps - Neil Young, Crazy Horse. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей. Rust Never Sleeps is a live album by Canadian, American singer-songwriter Neil Young and American band Crazy Horse. It was released on June 22, 1979, by Reprise Records. Most of the album was recorded live, then overdubbed in the studio. Young used the phrase rust never sleeps as a concept for his tour with Crazy Horse to avoid artistic complacency and try more progressive, theatrical approaches to performing live. Rust Never Sleeps, its aphoristic title drawn from an intended advertising slogan, was an album of new songs, some of them recorded on Neil Young's 1978 concert tour. His strongest collection since Tonight's the Night, its obvious antecedent was Bob Dylan's Bringing It All Back Home, and, as Dylan did, Young divided his record into acoustic and electric sides while filling his songs with wildly imaginative imagery. Neil Youngs 1979 album, made famous for the single Hey Hey, My My Into the Black and Kurt Cobains allusion to its lyrics in his suicide note 15 years later. It was mostly recorded live but contains studio overdubs on most of its tracks Sail Away and Pocahontas were recorded completely in studio. Its first half is comprised of acoustic songs and the second of electric songs, with the album bookended by versions of the same song, Hey Hey, My My. The phrase, Rust Never Sleeps comes from an old Rust-Oleum ad slogan crafted by the band Devo. Young learned of the slogan when making a film with the band, and he loved it so much that he adopted it as his own. 50 видео Воспроизвести все Take It Easy RockYouTube Music. Since the MP3s of Rust Never Sleeps were included with the purchase, I figured no harm no foul, and maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised by this Jack Bruce guy, and went ahead and popped it into the player. Wow, I'll never be able to get that time back. Jack Bruce needs to keep his day job. Rust Never Sleeps makes good on every one of Youngs early promises. Neil Young doesnt have these problems. Because he actually knows who he is and what he stands for, because he seems to have earned his insights, because his idiosyncratic and skillful music is marked by wisdom as well as a wide-ranging intelligence, Young comes right out and says something - without rant, rhetoric, easy moral lessons or any of the newest production dildos. He doesnt need that crap. Though not really a concept album, Rust Never Sleeps is about the occupation of rock & roll, burning out, contemporary and historical American violence, and the desire or need to escape sometimes.
