Released: Dec Reynolds, mot famous as a songwriter, had an unusual history. She was born in the first year of the twentieth century but only took to songwriting with the protest movements of the late 1950s. At that time, very few singers outside of the nascent rock and roll scene actually wrote their own songs. The remainder of this reissue of Sings the Truth consists of previously unreleased songs from the middle 1960s that show just what a stockpile of impressive material Malvina Reynolds wrote during the late 1950s and early 1960s. The most impressive of all is closer The Little Mouse, which is as creepy as its title suggests, and Let The Eat Cake. Play jigsaw puzzles for free Home. Sings the Truth, 1967.
