Lin Jaldati 13 December 1912 31 August 1988 was a Dutch-born, East German-based Yiddish singer. She was a Holocaust survivor, and one of the last people to see Anne Frank. After the war she published an article, Memories of Anne Frank, in Joachim Hellwig and Gunther Deicke's book, A Diary for Anne Frank. A self-professed socialist, she performed in Yiddish in Russia, China, North Korea and Vietnam from the 1950s to the 1970s. Jalda Rebling born 1951 in Amsterdam is a German hazzan. A year after birth, she and her parents moved to East Germany in 1952. Her parents survived the Holocaust, and Rebling's mother and aunt were the first to tell Otto Frank of his daughters' deaths. Her mother Rebekka Brilleslijper, also known as Lin Jaldati, was a well-known singer of Yiddish music. In 1987 Rebling helped organize a Yiddish culture festival in Germany, which occurred every year into the 1990s. Rebling herself eventually became. Lin Jaldati was a Dutch Jewish Communist Yiddish singer, who survived the Holocaust and was the last person to see Anne Frank alive. After the war, she and her husband, Eberhard Rebling, moved to East Berlin where she became the Yiddish diva of the Communist world, including a 1965 concert including Yiddish music in North Korea, and a 1983 concert in Yad Vashem, where she was a representative of her adopted home in East German.
