Album

The Arista Years is a compilation album that chronicles the Grateful Dead's studio and live albums during their time with Arista Records. The album was released on two-CD and two cassette tapes on October 15, 1996. It contains tracks from Terrapin Station, Shakedown Street, Go to Heaven, Reckoning, Dead Set, In the Dark, Built to Last, and Without a Net. The set does not contain any new or expanded recordings. A media outlet sampler, Selections from the Arista Years, was released by Arista in January. The Arista Years presents the sound of a band compromising with, but not capitulating to, the demands of the conventional record industry. Even the Dead themselves were never really able to capture lightning in a bottle, but, as one of their better songs here puts it, they managed to shine Just a Little Light. Посмотреть сведения об участниках альбома, рецензии, композиции и приобрести альбом 1996 CD от The Arista Years на Dead's years with Arista were indeed their most creative and productive in my view, giving us such classics as Terrapin Station, Estimated Prophet, Shakedown Street, and Fire on the Mountain, and so many more. Amazing songs, great playing, and on-key singing that the Dead never managed to surpass. Product arrived on time and in great condition Excellent album if you like the later dead years and has many of the best songs from Terrapin Station through Built to last. Read more. The ultimate live document of Grateful Dead v1. 0, and candidate for the best live rock album ever, is this double LP made during the distended Aoxomoxoa sessions. It has the definitive reading of Dark Star, the holy grail of Dead set lists, along with The Eleven, a head-spinning Phil Lesh composition in 118 time.
