It was first released on October 21, 1994, mostly recorded in previous months at Metropolis Studios in London, England. It would be the last Fishmans album to feature Hakase-Sun on keyboards. Despite its funk rock leanings, the album also heavily foreshadows Fishmans' future dream pop-oriented sound, such as songs like 帰り道 or Woofer Girl. On Fishmans' official website, the latter half of the album is described as slow reggae, elaborating that this sound. Released October 21, 1994. Orange Tracklist. On March 17, 1995, Fishmans released their first live album Oh Mountain following a five-city tour in celebration of Orange's release. Following this significant lineup change, Fishmans released what is possibly the band's most recognizable single, Nightcruising ナイトクルージング on November 25. The song was a sudden yet welcome shift towards dream pop, serving as an introduction to what would become their next studio album. Album 1997 9 Songs. More By Fishmans. Neo Yankees' Holiday. Orange represents somewhat of a crossroads in Fishmans' discography. on the cusp of what many consider their best material, Orange separates the earlier, more DubReggae-inspired work from the more psychedelic, Dream Pop sound they would perfect in the late 90s. it's a crossroads connecting Fishmans' two main styles, and because of that, Orange feels like a blend of both.
