Just finished my fist play through of this box set! Sounded incredible! So pleased I went the extra mile to pick up this bundle! 5/5 easy! No problems with skips or scratches on my box set. My only objection is the case for the "unreleased" white vinyl is a shabby plastic sleeve, otherwise everything else looks and sounds great!

Alive 97 skips on side A, side B is fine. Got mine with the bundle. If anyone else had this problem, Id like to know about it.

mine was skipping both A and B side of Alive 1997 (EU version), got refunded by Amazon and purchased separate Alive 1997 album and replaced it. I think this is one of the reason why Boxset dropped from 100pounds to 60. seems like they have managed to screw all boxsets

Finally got this... it's beautiful!Vinyl seems to be pressed well from the quick listens I've had to them, with the lead in grooves either having extremely minor surface noise or being dead silent.The sound quality is very good, still quite bass heavy, but not as overpowering as the CD version as someone else said.Another thing worth noting is that these are cut very quietly, I have to turn my amp up to about twice as much as I usually do.

I agree that it's cut quietly. I have to turn it up louder than any of my other records. Wish they would have just used black 180 gram vinyl! To me it seems like the colored records are always more of a gimmick and they never sound as good.

I see, I won't have my copy till tommorow, I guess the pictures are a bit misleading.

The label with info for the Encore vinyl is actually attached to the plastic sleeve it comes in and not the 12" itself and thus has no hole. The label on the actual 12" is just a blank white label (with a center hole).Unless you happened to get a label without a hole in which case I guess you could just make one yourself.

Really looking forward to this, Alive 2007 and 1997 are both great albums, I like 2007 more because 1997 is kinda thick as a brick when it comes to accessibility, but it's all great. Sorry about jumping the gun on the entry, really!

I don't think it's limited, they would've said that in the press releases. Amazon.com has them readily available for pre-orderEdit: Amazon.com says it's a Limited Edition, doesn't say how much will be made. 1000 seems quite low. Even then, companies will call something "Limited Edition" even though it's not limited a lot.
