Bob James is an American 'smooth' jazz pianist. He's been playing since the 60's and has a diverse style, he is not a hard core jazz man, hence the 'smooth' title, because he does not fit easily into main stream 'slots' his work has been somewhat overlooked. He has been associated and played for many well know artiste such as Sinatra, Quincey Jones, George Benson, Aretha Franklin and Paul Simon just to illustrate he's not a one dimensional player.
