This is definitely the perfect track to put on a compilation tape (as the first song) when someone has done something nice to help you, such as water your potted plants while you are on a mini-break on the coast, so you have made them a compilation tape as a present to say "thank you!!"

These extended versions you see on youtube are just extended edits made from the original 3.47 version by various dj's and people.

I am really curious what makes this 7" so in demand. I own both 7" and a 1984 pressed 12" with "I Want To Thank You" and both pressings seem to be the same take. The other track "Here's The Ticket" was also released on her album "I Fooled You This Time", so where am I missing the point?

Popular with the Northern punters, who always prefer a 7".

the 12'' is not even listed on discogs , thats why everyone is having this 7'' in his wantlist better to have a 7'' single then no single at all.....

First heard this on Danny tenaglia's choice comp. That and it's the perfect funeral song are two good reasons this single is in high demand...

I think it's the fact that it's hard to find on a 7 and with a great b side. Some people on collect 7s so you'll find this pattern happening a lot with certain classicsongs.

Maybe it has something to do with the Boiler Room set from DJ Muro and DJ Nori. They only spinned 7", played it somewhere in the end (http://www.mixesdb.com/w/[email protected]_5_Years_Of_Boiler_Room,_Tokyo)... Thinking about what well known DJ's can do to record prices and want statistics...
